The Closest People on Earth to the Sun - Expedition in Atacama, Chile.
To become the closest beer on Earth to the Sun, we capitalised on the Perihelion phenomenon, the point in a planet, asteroid, or comet’s orbit nearest to the Sun. In 2019, this occurred on 3 January. Contrary to popular belief, the closest point to the Sun that day isn’t Everest, but the Atacama Desert in Chile. Cerro Toco, a volcano near the Chile-Bolivia border, rises 5,640m above sea level, making its peak the closest place on Earth to the Sun. And we went there… to toast and taste the Sun.
From first concepts to leading the production team, my role spanned multiple functions. In the months before the expedition, I planned content, storyboarded the Hero Film, and created the integrated visual identity for every production piece. On-site, I managed the production company while capturing content with my camera for local market social channels. The toughest part? Reaching the summit of Cerro Toco. It was a personal milestone, and with a lot of effort, and a bit of luck, we captured spectacular images and told an amazing story, always aligned with the brand pillars and guidelines.
The Land of the Midnight Sun - Secret Solstice 2018
The Secret Solstice in Reykjavik, Iceland, is one of Europe’s most exclusive festivals. Held during the Summer Solstice, it boasts six days of constant daylight. Inspired by this, we designed a premium experience for Sol’s consumers, brand ambassadors, and local teams.
From concept design to post-production, I took on multiple roles: creating all the pitch materials to secure local market investment, photographing and filming across five days in incredible locations like a lava tunnel and inside a glacier, managing editing and post-production including full colour grading and photo retouching, and designing a special activation bar from scratch, overseeing its construction with a third-party company.
